What we expect in general

Hands-on experience with Kafka. Comfort writing code that uses low-level abstractions like Java consumer and manual offset management. Familiarity with tools from the Kafka ecosystem: Schema Registry and Rest Proxy
Strong Java 17+ and Spring Boot skills, willingness to learn new technologies
Experience with Spring Data JPA and a strong understanding of relational data modeling
Understanding of asynchronous systems, ability to perform load testing, and use distributed tracing and metrics. Knowledge of OpenTelemetry is a plus
Ability to troubleshoot applications on Kubernetes
Motivation to contribute to technical improvements across teams, collaborate with architects, and start bottom-up initiatives to improve the whole data platform
Fluency in English, with good communication skills and a proactive problem-solving attitude
Self-motivation, ability to manage tasks independently
Readiness to visit the client's office in Sweden 2-3 times per year (nice to have, not required)
