Quality Assurance Engineer

Required skills:


QA & testing: REGULAR

Bash: BASIC

CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins): REGULAR

AWS/Azure/GPS: BASIC

Java/Python: BASIC

SQL databases: BASIC

What we expect in general:

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) for complex projects, including web services, back-end systems, and desktop applications.

  • Solid experience in Manual Testing with DevOps flavour – you need to setup the solution from scratch as part of the testing scenario.

  • Strong knowledge of web-related technologies and HTTP protocols.

  • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and basic scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

  • Basic knowledge of SQL databases, including both installation and request syntax (e.g., creating tables, performing queries).

  • Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins) and version control systems like Git.

  • Basic knowledge and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a basic understanding of how to launch and manage cloud instances.

  • Ability to work effectively without detailed functional specifications and adapt to evolving project requirements.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies independently.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, understandable terms.

  • Persistent and methodical approach to reproducing and solving complex cases, even when faced with challenging scenarios.

  • Proficiency in written English.

  • Passion for QA and a commitment to staying current with best practices and tools in the field.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving user experience.

  • Ability to work as a team player while also performing effectively with minimal supervision.

  • A strong user-centric mindset, with the belief that software is developed primarily for users’ benefit.
